Once hired, they enter a six-month orientation and training program over seen by the Valley Health System Training Center. This program provides a smooth and successful transition into an exciting career.
Dedicated Education Units — Summerlin Hospital, in conjunction with UNLV, supports dedicated education units. These units utilize the expertise of the nursing staff to precept nursing students through their studies. The nursing staff receives specialized training and certification in order to participate in this program.
