Call for additional instruction and support if you have:
- Difficulty with latch-on
- Pain with breastfeeding
- Concern about milk supply
Or, if your baby:
- Is not gaining weight quickly (3/4 – 1 oz. per day)
- Is supplementing with a bottle and you want to exclusively breastfeed
- Feeds “all the time”
- Is jaundiced
- Cries a lot and is fussy
- Spits up “a lot”
Caution: These numbers are not monitored 24/7. Therefore, if you have an emergency, go to the emergency department. You may call your child’s pediatrician or a private practice lactation professional if you need assistance sooner than we can provide.
