Visitors

Visiting Hours
Visitors can be "good medicine" for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern at Summerlin Hospital, and to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established. Open visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special arrangements may be made for overnight visitors and for children under age 12 to visit on most patient units.

Gift Shop
The gift shop is located off the main lobby. Newspapers, magazines, cards, flowers and gifts may be purchased there. Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients, as some are on restricted diets. On the Intensive Care Unit, please check with the staff regarding any gifts for patients. The gift shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday; from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Parking
Convenient hospital parking for visitors can be accessed by entering the hospital campus off Hualapai Way.

Chapel/Meditation Room
The Chapel/Meditation Room is located on the first floor of the hospital, just off the main lobby. The room is available to patients, their families and visitors 24 hours a day. Please see an admitting representative for access to the Chapel/Meditation Room.

Cafeteria
For the convenience of family and visitors, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center's cafeteria serves meals between the following times:
  • Breakfast – 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Snacks – 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Lunch – 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Grill Service and Snacks – 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Dinner – 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Late Night Grill Service – 1 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.


Vending/ATM Machines
Vending machines, including a change machine, are located in the cafeteria.

Public Telephones
Public telephones are located across from Admitting, with additional public telephones found throughout the hospital.

Non-Smoking Policy
Summerlin Hospital Medical Center adheres to a non-smoking policy within the hospital. Visitors may smoke outside in designated smoking areas, like the cafeteria patio.
