Summerlin Hospital Medical Center has been voted one of the "Best Places
to Work" in Las Vegas according to a 2009 I
nBusiness Las Vegas
magazine survey.
Ranked first among all hospitals and coming in a
close second among all businesses with more than 500 employees,
Summerlin Hospital is a great place to work because it offers innovative
benefits, such as flexible scheduling, as well as a culture of effort
recognition according to Mason Hudson, Administrator of Human Resources.
"Summerlin
Hospital provides compassionate care for both its patients and
employees," said Hudson.
Among the benefits enjoyed by Summerlin
Hospital employees are sign-on and retention bonuses, an extra day's pay
for six months of perfect attendance, and self-scheduling
opportunities.
The hospital also sponsors a Peak Performance Award
that encourages employees, patients, or visitors to recognize dedicated
employees for outstanding service and for inspiring others to do their
best.
Nearly 150 companies and organizations were nominated to
enter the "Best Places to Work" competition.
